With 23 years as a Pasadena resident, she has a profound understanding of the values, challenges, and aspirations that define her community.
Tammie brings strong leadership skills honed over decades of experience in both public service and nonprofit sectors. She has successfully created and led communications departments for organizations, where she implemented policies and procedures that strengthened outreach and operations. Her career also includes policy work and public relations in the Texas House of Representatives, for a Harris County Commissioner, and the Texas Senate, giving her a well-rounded perspective on governance and advocacy.
A passionate advocate for justice, Tammie uses her leadership and communication expertise to educate and inspire action on critical issues such as domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, human trafficking, and financial responsibility for government agencies. Her ability to connect with diverse audiences and rally support for important causes has made her a trusted voice and an effective change-maker.

Married to her husband Keith for 32 years, Tammie has lived in Pasadena with Keith and her “mother-in-love,” Anne Nielsen, for over two decades. Together, they enjoy their close-knit family and share a passion for improving their community.
Currently running for school board, Tammie is committed to fostering an environment where students can thrive academically, morally, and spiritually. Her deep understanding of community values and her dedication to servant leadership equip her to be a trusted advocate for local families. When she’s not serving her community, Tammie enjoys reading, hiking, kayaking, camping, and spending quality time with her family and family by choice.
